Recycling Banks
In addition to the kerbside recycling service, recycling banks are located throughout the town.
You cannot recycle any electricals at any of our local recycling banks. This includes small electrical and electronic items such as; toasters, kettles, irons, mobile phones, and DVD players. No large items, light bulbs, batteries, TVs, computers, washing machines or vacuum cleaners. Please take these items to the Household Waste and Recycling Centre on Caxton Way or arrange a large item collection.
You can find your nearest electrical recycling point and battery disposal on the 'recycle your electricals' website.
Our recycling banks are located at local shopping areas around the town.

Clothes collectors
Please be aware that there are some companies operating in Stevenage who say they are collecting clothes and will give a percentage of their profits to charity.
All companies and charities who undertake house collections are required to register with us. If you have any suspicions about the company/charity, please contact us on 01438 242242 and ask to speak to Committee Services who will be able to tell you whether the company/charity has registered with us.
One way of always making sure your clothes go to a charity is to drop your clothes off at a charity shop. Alternatively, you can make use of the recycling centre on Caxton Way or use one of the recycling banks.
