About the Young People's Healthy Hub
What is the Young People's Healthy Hub?
Your Young People’s Healthy Hub is the place to go for all your health and wellbeing needs. We are here to support you. We can provide support and advice for your mental, emotional, physical or lifestyle related needs.
Perhaps you may want help in getting more active or you just generally feel down and alone and don’t know where to start. Whatever your need might be, the Young People’s Healthy Hub can connect you with local support.
If you want support from the hub and want to find out more information about how we can help, get in touch with the Young People's Healthy Hub.
5 Ways To Wellbeing
Research shows that there are 5 ways we can boost our mood and improve our wellbeing.
Connect
Spending time with friends or family helps keep relationships happy and healthy, which is great for our well-being. Hertfordshire Mind Network's Online Meeting Places are a way to socially connect with other young people.
Be active
Regular physical activity is great for our mental well-being and can boost our mood. We can suggest ways that you can get active.
Take notice
Being in the moment, enjoying what is around you, and taking the time to notice how you or other people around you are feeling can help improve your well-being. Why not try out meditation using the Headspace app?
Keep learning
Learning new skills and increasing your knowledge can help keep your brain active, which feeds into improved well-being.
Give
Carrying out thoughtful gestures, or acts of kindness can feel great and help improve our mood. You can get involved with our training programmes and volunteering opportunities.
How to become a Young People’s Healthy Hub Ambassador
We’re committed to delivering a co-operative neighbourhood by better engaging with our young residents.
Tell us what matters to you the most and keep us on track in meeting the health and wellbeing ambitions of this project.
If the Ambassador role sounds like you, please contact us.
Become a sponsor
There’s nothing more important to us than achieving our health and wellbeing ambitions for young people aged 11-16 years old living in Stevenage.
The Young People’s Healthy Hub is looking for influential partners to help sustain the project beyond the two year allocated funding grant. We’re particularly keen to hear from companies in the STEM or Digital Technology space.
If your company is interested in serving as an official sponsor, we’d like to hear from you so please contact us.
The Hertfordshire Healthy Hub is funded by the Public Health District Partnership and aims to deliver a Healthy Hub in every District and Borough of Hertfordshire, including a Young People’s Healthy Hub in Stevenage.
