Wedgewood Way
The Wedgewood Way development was part of a wider regeneration scheme on the former DuPont site which saw the development of over 200 new affordable homes by Metropolitan Housing Association.
In order to make the scheme viable, Stevenage Borough Council was able to purchase six three-bedroom houses which have been let to local residents directly and via Origin Housing Association.
As part of Stevenage Borough Council’s commitment to community engagement, children from the Martins Wood primary school took part in an artwork competition, with the winning images being displayed on the hoarding.
The children were also invited to the site to see the construction underway, and were given a display of the various bits of machinery used on site, as well as each being able to take away their own hard hat.
