Twin Foxes House
The Twin Foxes development saw the demolition of the former pub site which had become a source of local anti-social behaviour, and the development of new affordable accommodation which has been let to Council tenants.
The 14 properties are a mixture of one and two-bedroom properties, all of which have Juliette windows and an open-plan kitchen living area.
The development also saw students from the nearby Broom Barnes and St Nicholas schools enter into an artwork competition, with the winning entries being displayed on the hoarding for the duration of the build. The children were also able to visit the site to witness the construction of the new homes.
As work was carried out on the site, Stevenage Borough Council took the opportunity to improve the local amenity, by improving the appearance of the retail units, flats, and street furniture.
An open day was also hosted following the completion of the development to enable the local community to come and explore the development before residents moved in.
