Selecting homes

We select homes for our retrofit programme based on their existing Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating, their location, and other relevant factors.

If your home is eligible, you will be contacted directly, and everything will be clearly explained to you.

We have pledged to ensure that, where possible, all our homes and properties achieve at least a “C rating” on their EPC.

For more information on EPCs, visit the Energy Saving Trust website. You can check if your home has a certificate on the Gov.uk website.

If your home does have a certificate it will be rated between A and G, where A is the most energy efficient, and G the least. The average rating across England and Wales is currently D, so it will take several years to retrofit all homes to get them to a C rating or better.
