We work with local communities and agencies to reduce the impact of vandalism in local areas.
Tackling vandalism
We work in partnership with CCTV, Police Community Support Officers, Neighbourhood Watch, Residents Groups and individuals to prevent and reduce crime by encouraging community involvement and shared responsibility for local safety.
We also carry out environmental changes such as improved street lighting to make areas safer and discourage criminal activity. We can provide advice and information on measures individuals can take to deter vandals, along with how to notify us about incidents of vandalism quickly and effectively.
Where the vandalism has taken place on council-owned property, we will carry out repairs. Requests will also be made to other service providers to carry out repairs on their property as soon as possible to help keep neighbourhoods looking clean and safe.
