If you find a dead animal on or off a road please report it to Hertfordshire County Council using the link below.

• Report a dead animal to Herts County Council.

We are responsible for removing dead animals found on land maintained by us. We try to remove dead animals within two working days.

Recovered dogs and cats are scanned to see if they have been micro-chipped. If they have, we will make every effort to contact the owners.

We do not collect dead animals from private land.
