About Stevenage Works
Stevenage Works, launched in 2019, is a job and training hub offering a free recruitment service to local residents. We are located in, and managed by Stevenage Borough Council, working in Partnership with North Herts College (NHC), The Job Centre Plus (JCP), along with a wide range of local businesses.
Supporting local people and business is everything to us, and by building these partnerships we aim to raise awareness of local job opportunities.
We attend local job fairs and recruitment events, which are a great way to find out more about the businesses in the area, along with any roles they have to offer.
Our partnership with North Herts College enables us to provide training courses to support our residents in the Stevenage area. This helps to secure roles, as well as ensuring that we’re continuously increasing the talent available too.
Apprenticeships are a top priority, and it’s essential to understand the importance of gaining vocational qualifications in order to stand out from the crowd when applying for a new job.
We have also worked alongside:

- TrAC - A non-profit Shared Apprenticeship Service delivering Flexi Job Apprenticeships
- Herts Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) - one of 38 Local Enterprise Partnerships across the country tasked by the Government to accelerate economic growth.
