Stevenage 80 - Celebrating our Community logo

We are thrilled to announce the return of Stevenage Day, the largest free event in Hertfordshire, set to take place on Sunday 14 June, at the iconic King George V playing fields.

With an anticipated attendance exceeding 30,000, this year's festivities promise to be bigger, better, and more vibrant than ever before.

Stevenage 80 – Celebrating our Community

This year’s Stevenage Day takes on special significance as part of Stevenage 80, a year-long programme celebrating 80 years since Stevenage was designated the UK’s first New Town in 1946.

From bold post-war planning to today’s thriving community, Stevenage has always been a place of innovation, opportunity, and strong community spirit.

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy activities, displays and performances that reflect our town’s proud heritage while looking ahead to the future. Join us as we celebrate the people, places and ideas that have shaped Stevenage over the past eight decades—and continue to shape its future.
