Housing Delivery Test Action Plan

The Housing Delivery Test result for Stevenage Borough Council was published by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on 12 December 2024 for financial years ending 2020/21, 2021/22 and 2022/23.

The council has under-performed against the latest test result. The outcome means, we are required to update the existing Housing Delivery Action Plan to identify the reasons for under-delivery, explore ways to reduce the risk of further under-delivery and set out measures to improve levels of delivery.

The consequences will continue to apply until subsequent HDT results demonstrate that our delivery exceeds the required number of homes in the following year.
