Tom Pike appointed new Chief Executive Officer
Congratulations to Tom Pike, a strategic director at Stevenage Borough Council who was announced as the new Chief Executive by members at last night’s Full Council meeting.
Tom has worked in local government for 20 years and joined Stevenage Borough Council in 2016. He will begin his new role at the beginning of April and replaces the current Chief Executive Matt Partridge, who announced his decision to take early retirement in November last year.
Councillor Richard Henry, Leader of Stevenage Borough Council said, “Tom brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the council, and I am delighted to see him taking on our most senior officer role. He has worked for Stevenage Borough Council for several years and previously for the London Borough of Barnet. His insight into regeneration, housing, skills agenda, and STEM issues will be invaluable. I look forward to working with him and I know the council and our residents and businesses will benefit greatly from this appointment.”
