As of today the lift at the railway station is working again.

Background

The lift at Stevenage Railway Station was out of order. The lift contractor identified damage to the car doors, which appeared to be the result of an attempted forced entry using a crowbar.

The contractors removed the doors and fabricators had to work on them. A special linen type metal had to be ordered. Following this the doors needed to be reinstalled.

The repairs have now been completed and the lift is working again. We thank you again for your patience.
