Stevenage all set for a packed event schedule in 2024
Are you ready for the Summer? We are in Stevenage and cannot wait to share the exciting 2024 events schedule which is bursting at the seams, and there's plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
One thing we can’t promise is the weather, but the one thing we can, is that it’s going to be even bigger and even better than ever before.
Some popular events have made a come-back and others are making their debut. Whatever you’re looking for make a date in your diary and come along. From our annual Stevenage Day (9 June), to celebrating Armed Forces Day (22 June) we’re looking forward to seeing you.
Don’t forget to look out for our new monthly events such as #TGIT (Thank Goodness It’s Thursday) and Kids Zone, as well as a whole host of others. We promise, there’s something to suit everyone.
Also, as a reminder, some events have free car parking and others which are really popular, you may need to book, so it’s worth checking beforehand. You can find out more information by visiting the Town Centre Website.
Stevenage really packs a punch with our events. It’s great to still offer the community such a fantastic schedule throughout the year.
Last year was really successful and it was great to see both residents and visitors getting into the spirit, supporting the local economy and getting together with friends and family. These events provide the perfect setting to socialise and enjoy a day out in the town.
We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone having a good time. Don’t forget, it’s free entry for all the events and everyone is welcome to come along, so do share our exciting event schedule with your friends and family.
The first of these is the 80th D-Day Beacon Lighting (June 6) followed by Stevenage Day on Sunday 9 June, at King George V playing fields. Why not pop along and join in the hustle and bustle of one of the biggest and busiest events in our Stevenage calendar. This year's theme is celebrating Pride and the LGBTQ+ community and will feature a dedicated Pride area. It’s going to be fun, fun, fun so come along and prepare to be amazed!
Running in conjunction with Stevenage Day on 9 June, our Kidz Zone being held at Event Island, will be available as a quiet, chill out area from 11am to 3pm with bottles of water and shade available.
Family Friendly and Free Entry
All the events are family-friendly, free entry with all ages welcome, so put the dates in your diary, come along and get involved and invite your friends and family!
There is a wide range of local entertainment, stalls and craft sessions too. All of the events will be advertised on our website, via social media and in the town centre. So, share them far and wide and let’s get ready to have some fun. We can’t wait to see you!
