We're working with the Football Foundation to create an exciting new community-led space.

We'd love to hear what activities you'd enjoy; it could be anything from football and basketball to netball and fitness classes.

To give the people of Stevenage the opportunity to lead more active, healthier lifestyles, we are intending to apply for The Football Foundation's PlayZone Grant.

The funding, facilitated by the Government, the Premier League and the FA, will help support the redevelopment of Stevenage's existing multi-use games areas (MUGAs) and help create new ones! Multi-Use Games Areas commonly known as MUGA pitches are commonly found at schools, leisure centres, parks, and sports clubs and are versatile sports areas accommodating various activities.

More information on PlayZones can be found on the Football Foundations website. The current parks that have been identified are:

  • Shephalbury Park
  • King George V Playing fields
  • Hampson Park

To give us the best possible chance of being awarded these funds, we need to establish community demand. That means, hearing from the residents of our great town to not only gather their opinions but to get their insight that will help guide what shape the PlayZone will take.

By completing this survey you have the opportunity to be entered into a competition to win one of three £50 Amazon Vouchers, just enter your name and email address at the end of the survey.
