Helping Herts, a charity supporting children and young people across the county, is teaming up with the Stevenage Cycle Hub for The Great Big Cycle for Herts.

On Sunday 27 April, join in and take part in a county-wide cycle event that’s all about making a difference. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, this event offers something for everyone right here in Stevenage. You can ride your way – choose your route, distance, and pace, making it accessible for all.

It’s easy to get involved. Simply set up a fundraising page in minutes and start raising money to support local charities. Your ride will directly benefit Helping Herts and its 12 charity partners, making a real impact on the lives of children and young people across the county.

Cycle Options for the Day:

  • 45-Mile Led Group Ride (Fairland Valley Park)

Join the Stevenage Cycle Hub team for a 45-mile group ride through the stunning Hertfordshire countryside. A guide will lead the ride, so you just need to follow along and enjoy the journey.

  • 45-Mile Self-Guided Ride

If you prefer to cycle at your own pace, sign up for the 45-mile self-guided route. Get the map and complete the ride on your schedule – whenever suits you best.

  • 15-Mile Stevenage Heart Ride

Take part in a unique heart-shaped route around the outskirts of Stevenage. This is a great option if you're looking for a shorter ride but still want to make an impact.

  • Junior Fairland Cycle

Bring your little cyclists to Fairlands Valley Park for a fun, family-friendly cycle around the lake. It’s the perfect way for the whole family to get involved and support a fantastic cause.

By purchasing your route maps in advance, you’ll automatically be entered into a prize draw – another great reason to get involved. Plus, all money raised is match funded, so is eligible to be doubled.

Gordon Morrison, Co-Founder of Helping Herts, said: “Helping Herts is thrilled to be part of The Great Big Cycle for Herts. Every pedal will help raise vital funds for local charities, supporting children and young people across Hertfordshire. Together, we can make a lasting difference.”
