Stevenage residents can find out all about what happens to their recycling at an open day at the Cavendish Road depot.

The open day will be held on Saturday 6 July, running from 10am-1pm. Residents will be able to find out what happens to their waste and recycling after it’s collected, as well as more about the vehicles the council uses to run waste, cleansing and grounds maintenance services.

Officers will also be on hand to talk about how waste and recycling is managed at the depot, council’s play areas, and environmental job opportunities within the council. Little ones will have the chance to sit in a refuse lorry, and there will also be children’s activities.

The event is free to attend. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day.
