Can you Sew or Embroider?

Join us for a craftivism event and be part of something creative and meaningful! Stay as long as you like or just drop by.

The craftivists behind the What If...? Wildlife banner will be at the museum from 10am to 4pm, working on a collaborative tablecloth made up of individual jigsaw-shaped pieces.

This event is free, and if you have any scraps of material to contribute, please bring them along!

The event coincides with the closing of the Extinction Exhibition. While conversations about the environment and avoiding a sixth extinction often focus on sacrifices, this event will highlight the positive side of caring for our planet.

Through embroidery, we’ll explore themes of hope and joy:

  • What would life look like if we focused on the environment?
  • How can addressing climate change create a better way of life?

With ideas like "Less stuff, more joy," we’ll stitch an optimistic vision for the future into our tablecloth.

Once completed, the tablecloth will be displayed at the museum and used for events, meetings, and even a picnic!
