Traffic Regulation Orders

All existing yellow line restrictions, loading/unloading bays and designated bays for use by blue badge holders are covered by legal orders known as Traffic Regulation Orders. Enquiries about any existing restrictions should be directed to the Parking Office on 01279 502039.
To introduce any new restrictions or to amend any existing restrictions it is necessary to make a new Traffic Regulation Order. This is a lengthy process as it involves a detailed investigation to justify the ‘Order’ and formal consultation with other statutory bodies such as the Police and the County Council.
