Temporary closing of the Walkern Road/High Street Roundabout, Stevenage

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14[1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the Walkern Road/High Street roundabout, Stevenage from its junction with Walkern Road clockwise for its entire length.

The alternative route for traffic will be via:-
A602 (James Way, Lytton Way), Trinity Road, High Street, Letchmore Road, Church Lane and Walkern Road

Or alternately via:-
Walkern Road, Church Lane, Letchmore Road, High Street, Trinity Road, A602 (Lytton Way and High Street)

The purpose of the Order is to enable carriageway resurfacing works to take place.

It is anticipated that the section of road will be closed between the hours of 7.00pm and 6.00am (Mondays to Sundays inclusive) for up to 2 nights, sometime during the period 4 February 2008 and 31 May 2008, when signs are in place.
