New Road Hump

A Road hump is to be placed at the crossing point of Rectory Lane, at the North Road junction, two years after it was first proposed.

It is hoped that a combination of signing, kerb realignment to increase visibility and the road hump will enable pedestrians to safely cross from the south to the north of Rectory Lane.

Residents and Stevenage Borough councillors agreed to the Stevenage Highways Joint Member Panel recommendation for the improvements at a recent Old Town, Symonds Green Woodfield and Great Ashby forum.

Insufficient staff resources had slowed progress of the crossing point.
