Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPG) and Documents (SPD)

Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) and their precursors (Supplementary Planning Guidance or SPG) provide developers and others with further detail on the interpretation and intent of policies in statutory planning documents. Whilst SPD is subject to public consultation it does not go through independent examination by the Planning Inspectorate. In consequence, it does not carry the same weight in determining planning applications as do policies in statutory development plans.

All current SPD/SPG relates to policies and proposals in the Stevenage District Plan 2nd Review. We will review these documents from time to time and replace them when our LDF dictates that they are no longer up to date.
