How to use stevenage.gov.uk
This short guide aims to help you begin using our site and accessing the online services provided by the Council.
Finding your way around
There is a menu at the top of each page containing the following links:
- stevenage.gov.uk - will return you to the homepage
- A-Z of services - lists the Council's services in alphabetical order
- Site map - provides an overview of the sites main sections
- Have your say - gives you access to the pages on consultation and community involvement
- Accessibility - provides information about accessibility standards and the access keys
- Help - brings you to this page
At the bottom of every page you will find the Council's contact numbers along with a further menu of links:
- contact us - tells you how to get in contact with the Council
- disclaimer - informs you about the terms and conditions for using the site
- privacy statement - how we protect the information you provide
- freedom of information - provides information about the Act and your rights
- copyright - informs you about the re-use of material published on the site
- DirectGov - takes you to www.direct.gov.uk
There is also a "bread crumb" menu beneath the header on each page - this starts with 'You are here: Home'. Using this can see the path of the current page in relation to the sites home page. Click on the elements within the breadcrumb to visit that page.
