Possible disruption to Council services

Along with all other councils in the country, Stevenage Borough Council has been notified that trade unions intend to take industrial action over national changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The first national strike day is planned for Tuesday 28 March 2006.
Some Council services may be affected or unavailable, but we will make every effort to keep disruption to a minimum and concentrate attention on services for residents who are most vulnerable.
There will be no refuse, recycling or garden waste collections on Tuesday 28th March.
We regret that as a result of industrial action there will be no collections on Tuesday 28th March.
Your next collection will be:
- Refuse and Recycling - Tuesday 4th April
- Garden waste – Tuesday 11th April.
Collections on other days are not affected.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre in London Road, Stevenage will be open as usual (8am-4pm).
