New Household Waste Recycling Centre

We’ve been working with Hertfordshire County Council to replace the household waste recycling centre in London Road.

We were keen for the new centre to be more user friendly so that it is as easy as possible for people to recycle more of their waste.

The much needed, new centre in Caxton Way has more containers for rubbish and recycling material including cardboard, wood, scrap metal, paper, glass and plastic bottles, textiles, cans and foil.

There’s more space for parking, a third more than at the old London Road site.  And extra queuing space for another 15 cars on site to reduce queues on the main road.

The London Road site will close when the Caxton Way centre opens at 12 noon, Friday 25 August.

The opening hours at Caxton Way are:

8.00am – 6.00pm (April – September)
8.00am – 4.00pm (October – March).
