Delivery of Refuse Sacks

Refuse sacks are delivered to residents in Stevenage whose properties don’t have access to communal waste bin chutes.

The delivery of black sacks will commence on Monday 2nd June for two weeks

If you are entitled to sacks and have not received any by Monday 16 June, telephone our free helpline on 0800 136661.  Claims for non-delivery of bulk refuse sacks must be received by Monday 14 July.

Sacks will be delivered during July and August or can by be collected from Cavendish Road Depot by prior arrangement only. 

Although the council is not required to provide refuse sacks, it does to assist residents in containing their domestic waste in the correct manner.  Each property entitled to refuse sacks will receive one roll containing 52 sacks, which amounts to one sack per week for one year.

No further sacks will be issued until the next scheduled delivery during May/June 2009.
