Participation Strategy - Encouraging Community Involvement
In our Corporate Plan under the ambition of shape our community, is the priority to encourage community involvement.
To do this effectively we need a Participation Strategy that sets out how we will make sure that people:
- Have a say in council decisions that affect them
- Know how to get involved in local democracy, and
- Understand the contributions they can make to their town and their communities.
Our Consultation Strategy has been reviewed and incorporated into the Participation Strategy so that all our plans to engage with the community and encourage community involvement are in one place.
